2016 Knitting Goals

When I originally started this blog back in July of 2015, I found a Knitting Bucket List.   [Here is the original post] Of the original list of 101 items, here is the list of items that I hadn't completed, but want to complete:

Of the remaining 45 items, I only completed 3 in 2015, a number I am quite disappointed with.  I do have plans to cross a number of items off this list in 2016, so I look forward to revisiting this list in December.

Besides those more general goals, I also have a few others I'd like to list:
  • 12 pairs of socks in 2016 (KAL through the Yarngasm Podcast)
  • Knit a cardigan
  • Knit with my handspun
  • Design and release a pattern
  • Baby items
  • Attend a fiber festival (I'm thinking Maryland Sheep and Wool?)
  • Become more involved in the yarn/knitting community in general
I figure that those are pretty good goals to start with and I already have almost 1 pair of socks and almost 1 baby cardigan done!  I've tried to pick out the actual patterns I'd like to make for these goals.  Yarns are TBD, but I know I'd like to try some new brands of yarns (the sock KAL is going to be perfect for this) but I'd also like to clear up some of my stash which has now taken over an entire Rubbermaid container.

I would also like to get better at taking pictures of my knitting in progress as well as finished objects.  This was one of the reasons I created an Instagram account, so that I could take a quick picture with my phone and then post it.  I love how you can link your Instagram and Ravelry accounts so you can easily upload pictures to your project page.

Basically, I have a lot of knitting plans for 2016 and I'd better get a move on - we only have 11 months left!

You can see what I'm currently working on by checking out my Ravelry and Instagram.
